A quiet week in the Lakes with plenty to do on the odd rainy day. Our two year old loved 'The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction' just walking distance from High Brow and the ducks at the pier. We discovered the newly refurbished 'Swan' at Newby Bridge for cappercino and posh lunch and, as always, enjoyed our daily sandwich from 'The Deli' (Butterworths) |

after Boxing Day did not affect us at all. We were warm all week. The beds were

Fab week, even managed a paddle in Windermere during the heatwave. Then DIY... 5 new uPVC windows plus a delivery of 3 hotel-quality mattresses...High Brow is really looking in great shape for Summer. For the little one, Brockhole Visitor Centre and Quayside Kids were our great discoveries this week. Some low level backpack walks but the high fells will just have to wait until the Autumn! |

Alle voorzieningen zijn aanwezig, zowel in het appartement als daarbuiten. Winkels, pubs en restaurants zijn in de onmiddellijke nabijheid. Wij hebben in High Brow gelogeerd als beginpunt van een aantal wandelingen over de toppen van de fells. Buitengewoon: de parkeermogelijkheid en dat is niet overbodig in Bowness |
